Founded by Artist Mylai Kanagaraj, our academy provides structured drawing and painting training in traditional Indian art, sketching, canvas painting, Kerala mural art, clay modelling, resin art and Diploma in Fine Arts preparation across five branches in Chennai.

Since opening our first academy in Mylapore in 2021, Mylai School of Arts has grown into five branches across Chennai. We believe every student deserves personal attention, proper guidance and a strong artistic foundation. Our classes combine traditional Indian art techniques with modern teaching methods, helping beginners, hobby learners and aspiring professional artists build confidence and creativity.
We welcome children sketching for the first time as well as adults preparing for a Diploma in Fine Arts. Every student learns at their own pace under the guidance of experienced artists trained in both traditional and contemporary techniques.

Kanagaraj Kathirvel
Artist Mylai Kanagaraj (Kanagaraj Kathirvel) brings over 10 years of professional graphic design experience and more than 5 years of fine arts teaching experience. Through Mylai School of Arts, he has trained over 250 students across Chennai while promoting traditional Indian art forms alongside contemporary artistic techniques. His mission is to make quality fine arts education accessible to students of all ages.
